Pastor Cooking Paste by Lol-Tun is a ready-to-use marinade based on Achiote for the preparation of the Tacos al Pastor dish. Taco al Pastor translates as shepherd-style taco. The dish comes from central Mexico. In Mexico, thin pieces of pork are put on a skewer with the pastor marinade and roasted in front of a grill like the Turkish kebab. In Mexico, the meat skewer is crowned with pieces of pineapple. For home use, the meat is cut into thin, small pieces (like strips) and mixed with the marinade. The meat should be marinated with the Pastor Cooking Paste for about 2 hours. Then it is briefly fried in the pan with pineapple pieces.
